French 19th century mahogany bonheur du jour in the Louis XVI style. It's special characteristic is it's raised back, dressed with patinated brass galleries and swags and fitted with drawers and a central bevelled mirror. The cylinder top opens to reveal a pull-out writing slide and fitted interior. All the fluting on the piece is inlaid with brass. Circa 1870. In restored condition.
